Three Octaves Survey

Audio

Tune these three A3A4 octaves by raising or lowering A3 until A3A4 sounds the best according to your ears.

Use the M3/M10 test for the 4:2 and the m3/M6 test for the 6:3 and send me that information as well. I will tell you if you got them right.

After I receive your answers, I will email you information about the sizes you chose.
If A3 and A4 do not play together, wait a few seconds, and click [PLAY A3A4] again.

Each A3 starts flat.

    Hi Mark,

I can’t seem to send the octave choices.

They were 12, 15 and 9. Pure 4:2 is my guess.

I choose to use Reyburn Cyber tuner because of the pitch correction features. Unisons are done aurally and if a piano is stable enough I’ll mostly tune aurally.

I’ve been tuning for 39 years. (hmmm a life sentence is only 25 years in Canada).

    2# 7, equal,equal
    3# 9, equal,equal
