PIANO TUNING TEMPERAMENT
ANALYSIS AND SCORING

These are usually free scorings generated by a recording of M3's and P4's submitted to me by one of my subscribers, but this particular tuning was taken of someone's YouTune channel. Read the story below.

New Marking Scheme

Up until now we only marked M3s and P4s directly.
Up until now we only marked M3s and P4s directly. In this tuning we mark M3 and M6 and use those to calculate the P4 (M6 = M3).
Also, the P4 criteria was not progressive; we gave a static range of 0.5 to 1.5bps.
For equal temperament, A3D4 beats at 0.99 bps and E4A4 beats at 1.49 bps.
For inharmonicity we assume  similar values. (Calculations have been done to incorporate an average progression of a tuning with M3's in order to incorporate actual progression due to iH but there was little to no different in score.)

Marks are lost if calculate P4 are not within 0.3bps of the ideal rate.
The marking loss formula is the same as before, providing a way to minimize penalty for P4  that are close to the boundary and increase penalties for those that are far off.
