As with most Go APE concepts, this is another that is interesting by itself, but the full power of this concept is not realized unless it is used in the complete Go APE system with all the techniques together.

By itself, this technique allows us to set A3A4 and F3F43 as the best sounding octaves for a particular piano’s inharmonicity.

However, the ability to set two octaves so they sound good hardly makes a great method.

It is the information obtained from the inharmonicity measurement that allows us to determine which of the three temperament sequences to use to tune the temperament of this piano and have the least amount of refinement needed.
