Notes:
You will be asked to send a few units at the beginning so we can check if you're doing it right.
After you finish, you will tune a piano for a professional technician who will score you between 1 and 4.
Level 1 - Not ready to charge money for tunings.
Level 2 - Ready to charge money for residential, non-critical tunings. Not ready to tune for professional musicians, concert halls, or other high level customers.
Level 3 - Ready to tune for professional musicians, concert halls, and other high level customers, but with some concerns or caveats.
Level 4 - Ready to tune for professional musicians, concert halls, and other high level customers. No caveats or concerns.
If you get at least a level 2 on your final exam, then you will become certified as an Aural Piano Tuner, APTU, with the International Piano Technicians School, IPTS.
