​​​​Lesson 7 – NSL and Friction

When we talk about NSL tension, we are imagining the tension in the NSL right at the non-speaking length side of the v-bar or agraffe, because that's the tension that results in string slippage or not.

But because of other bearing points within the NSL, like the pressure bar on an upright or the understring felt on a grand, doesn't the NSL have different tensions along its length? Doesn't that cause a problem in trying to use this system?
