How to Tune Pianos

The Hobby, Skill, and Career of Piano Tuning

By Mark Cerisano

Learning to tune a piano to a high standard involves a lot of time, effort, and money if you want to be considered a professional, but if you just want to tune a few unisons and get your piano sounding a little better, it is quite easy to do in a fairly short amount of time.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to clean up your unisons
  • How to set pitches using an Electronic Tuning Device (ETD)
  • How to set pitches so they stay and do not drift
  • How to replace or repair a broken string

What You Will Need:

This course requires a minimum of tools.

  • Professional Tuning Hammer
  • Four Handled Rubber Mutes and Two Papp’s Mutes
  • Piano tuning software of your choice (I will make some suggestions)
  • Tools for repairing and replacing strings. (Only needed if you break a string)

Format:

This course will be given over FB Live.

The first FREE class will be given within my FB Group – How to Tune Piano – Beginner, and then, once you pay the registration fee, you will be added to the Piano Tuning for Music Teachers private FB group. All the classes from then on will be streamed from there.

To access the FREE class, please join my How to Tune Pianos FB group.

  • Option to fast track and take five classes per week for three weeks.

Cost of Course:

There are two ways to pay; one time fee, or monthly.

The course is estimated at three months but could go longer, so the one-time fee is the most economical.

  • One-time fee: $127USD (Savings of $14)
  • 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. Get your money back within 30 days for whatever reason. No questions asked.
