The Mark Cerisano (Go A.P.E.) Aural Piano Tuning System is the Most Accurate, Precise, and Efficient Aural Piano Tuning System ever developed.
But that doesn't mean it doesn't use computers and technology to make it so accurate, precise, and efficient.
The following software is recommended to help you improve your ear and your aural piano tuning results.
iStroboSoft
iStroboSoft can be used to tune a piano but we use it to tune A4 accurately. The tuning fork is susceptible to temperature changes and we often tune A4 at 25% overpull or 33% underpull for pitch raises/drops. The ETD is best for that.
iStroboSoft is also very good at easily measuring pitches to within 0.1 cents.
SoundBeam
SoundBeam allows you to SEE the beating partials of unisons and intervals. Knowing they are there can help you to hear them better.
Ocenaudio
Ocenaudio allows us to record and filter intervals. This allows us to know exactly what we are listening for and what it sounds like.
We can also use Ocenaudio to accurately and precisely measure beat speeds.
