The Single String Test

When judging a unison, the most common way piano tuners do this is to ask themselves, "Does this unison sound good?"

The problem with this approach is that it's basically your opinion, and as Plato said, "Opinion is the lowest form of knowledge."

The "Single String Test" takes opinion out of the equation.
