This piano has a tricky mute bar.
I could have removed some screws, removed the mute, tuned, then replaced the mute and reinserted the screws, but this worked much better:
I was able to tilt the mute back but then it would have been very difficult to insert a mute strip with the mute bar in the way.
Also, if I was tuning open unisons, it would have been difficult to find the tiny space between two strings of the same note.
Fortunately I use Double String Unison (DSU) which is much more forgiving when it comes to inserting the mutes. I only need to insert the mute into the big space between the notes, and then tune the two strings together.
Besides being faster and more accurate during tuning and setting pitches, DSU is also much faster because of the many possible short cuts like this one!
