The Double String Unison
Tuning Technique (DSU)

  • The Double String Unison (DSU) Tuning Technique is a way of tuning piano notes that allows the technician to make much smaller and precise changes in pitch.
  • It forces the technician to improve their ability to quickly set solid unisons, and once they have mastered that, the technique becomes very efficient, allowing technicians to make small and precise pitch changes to two strings at once.
  • Below are the lessons that will show you how the technique works and will allow you to practice the technique using recordings of actual piano strings.
